Marian McPartland to perform with USC Symphony Nov. 15

Marian McPartland--classically-trained pianist, jazz legend, and host of National Public Radio's Piano Jazz--will make a special guest appearance to perform one of her own compositions with the USC Symphony Orchestra Nov. 15.
Donald Portnoy directs.
McPartland will perform her own A Portrait of Rachel Carson.
USC piano professors Marina Lomazov and Joseph Rackers also will perform. The duo will play Poulenc's Concerto for Two Pianos.
The orchestra also will present Beethoven's Symphony No. 6, op. 68 in F Major (Pastorale).
