July 13, 15 and 16
This summer, the Center for Digital Humanities is organizing a workshop to introduce the insights and methods of Social Network Analysis (SNA). Taught by Spencer Moore (USC School of Public Health), the workshop is meant to introduce participants to the theoretical and methodological foundations of SNA, as well as provide a hands-on experience in network data analysis. The workshop will cover key concepts and terms in SNA, the how-tos in data collection, and demonstrate analysis methods using popular SNA software. By the end of the workshop, participants should have learned enough in the workshop to undertake a basic analysis for one of their own projects and be able to decide which concepts and tools they should study further for their own research agendas.
If interested in attending, contact Rachel Mann at firstname.lastname@example.org and bring a check, made payable to the University of South Carolina, to our office, located in the Thomas Cooper Library, 5th Floor, by July 9, 2015.
