Understanding Dementia with Dr. Shilpa Srinivasan – Free Online Talk May 13

Join us Tuesday, May 13, from 1:30–2:30 p.m. for a free virtual event featuring Dr. Shilpa Srinivasan, geriatric psychiatry expert at Prisma Health and the USC School of Medicine Columbia. She will present “Person-Centered Approaches to Managing Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms in Dementia” as part of the SC Department on Aging’s Dementia Seminar Series.

Dr. Srinivasan will explore how tailored, compassionate care can ease the complex behavioral and psychological challenges that often accompany dementia—for individuals, caregivers, and healthcare providers alike.

As a leader in geriatric psychiatry, Dr. Srinivasan specializes in late-life mental health, including conditions like depression, anxiety, psychosis and dementia. Through the USC Brain Health Network, she helps deliver expert evaluations and care for older adults across South Carolina.

This event is open to all—students, professionals, families and community members. Dr. Srinivasan will also speak later this month at the American Psychiatric Association’s national meeting in Los Angeles.
