Are you looking to discuss relevant social topics of interest in society today? You
can participate in the Diversity Dialogue Series to find other students who share your interest and are looking to have an honest
dialogue about sometimes difficult topics. Are you wanting to become trained as an
ally? Several workshops are offered throughout the semester including Safe Zone Training and Trans Advocacy Training. If you are looking for a leadership opportunity, you can chat with Diversity Peer Educators who are enthusiastic about sharing their experiences to help you find your own success
Immersion experiences are another great way to get involved and learn about those around you. Each year OMSA partners with the African-American Studies department to host the Civil Rights Tour, providing students an opportunity to explore the historical significance of several key stops throughout the southeast region related to the Civil Rights Movement.
USC Connect offers some recommendations based on your major and can help you learn to reflect on your experiences, then document, apply and share what you've learned with others. If you choose to pursue it, your numerous experiences can also lead to recognition through Graduation with Leadership Distinction in Diversity and Social Advocacy.
