Incoming Student General Advising Help Desk
The Incoming Student General Advising Help Desk service is a video chat room where you can ask general questions. Students will be admitted one by one into the room in the order in which they entered the waiting room. The staff member running the zoom room will get to you as soon as they are able.
From May 19 - July 1, the room is open from 10:00am – 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Students in colleges participating in Pre-Orientation Academic Advising can schedule a one-on-one academic advising appointment after completing the necessary academic pre-enrollment steps, which include registering for New Student Orientation (NSO) and completing required online modules. Students who do not schedule or attend an early advising appointment will be advised during their in-person NSO session.
Students participating in Pre-Orientation Academic Advising will meet virtually with an academic advisor for a one-on-one appointment.
Early academic advising and course registration can increase the likelihood of creating your ideal first-semester schedule. By registering early, you'll know what your fall semester looks like in advance of attending Orientation. This allows you to fully immerse yourself in the experience and events of your in-person New Student Orientation session without the added stress of course registration.
Students in colleges not participating in Pre-Orientation Academic Advising will complete their advising and course registration during their in-person New Student Orientation session.
Students may register for some or all of their courses during their advising appointment. Full registration access will be available immediately following advisement.
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions maintains a table of the USC credit you may receive for high scores on Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) exams.
Be sure to request that testing agencies send official AP/IB credit directly to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The AP code for USC is 5818.
Consult the Transfer Equivalency Tables provided by the University Registrar.
Be sure to submit official, sealed transcripts for all coursework at non-USC institutions to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
