About Me: Amanda comes to Darla Moore and the UAC after three years as an Honors College advisor and two years as a Secondary Education Advisor at UIUC. Her experiences as an English teacher for nine years shaped her passion for education that serves the needs of all students at all levels. Amanda grew up in Indiana and after college lived in St. Petersburg, Russia for four years. In her downtime, Amanda loves reading science fiction, fantasy, and horror, often as audiobooks while working on knitting or cross stitch. She loves playing video games, cuddling with her cat Freya, and playing in three different D&D campaigns.
