Oktoberbest is USC’s annual symposium celebrating teaching success and fostering a vibrant community of educators. This free, one-day event offers USC faculty, instructors, and graduate teaching assistants the chance to enhance innovative teaching practices, course design, and student learning while connecting with colleagues and exploring creative approaches to education.

She will address the burnout and mental health challenges faced by both faculty and students due to recent disruptions and heavy workloads . Known for her groundbreaking research on how emotions, motivation, learning, and quality of life intersect, Dr. Cavanagh brings a wealth of insight to the table.
