CTE has added a new Online Learning section to our website to support educators currently teaching online or preparing to develop online courses. This section brings together key resources, guidance, and tools that reflect our commitment to high-quality instruction across all delivery formats.
The new section includes information and support in the following areas:
- Online Course Design: Principles and strategies for planning effective online courses using the High Impact Design for Online Courses (HIDOC) model and backward design
- Online Course Development: Guidance on building organized, accessible, and engaging courses in Blackboard
- Online Course Delivery: Strategies for establishing instructor presence, communicating clearly, and supporting student success
- Quality Standards for Online Courses (QSOC): A set of standards used to support course review, feedback, and continuous improvement
- Video and Multimedia Support: Resources and consultation services for creating instructional video and multimedia content
- Online Teaching Resources: A curated collection of tools, templates, and support materials for educators teaching online
