Faculty Advance AI Integration Through Provost’s AI Teaching Fellowship

12 faculty have been selected for the 2025–2026 Provost’s AI Teaching Fellowship, a program supporting the integration of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) into university teaching. Led by CTE with support from the Office of the Provost, the initiative focuses on expanding faculty use of GenAI to foster deeper student engagement and more effective learning experiences.

The fellowship is a 12-month program that provides faculty with resources and support to incorporate GenAI into their courses through completion of Auburn University’s online Teaching with AI course, interdisciplinary learning communities, and the implementation of GenAI tools in a Fall 2025 course. Each fellow receives a $2,500 award upon successful completion.

Their work in the fellowship is expected to generate new approaches to using AI in the classroom to enhance learning across the university.

The fellowship will culminate in the Gen AI Showcase, scheduled for February 2026, where fellows will present their projects and share insights gained from integrating GenAI into their teaching.
