Enhancing Online Learning Through Winter Session Collaboration

Winter Session, led by the Graduation and Retention Network (GARNET), offers students an opportunity to accelerate their academic progress during the winter break. This initiative allows students to stay on track, catch up, or get ahead for graduation by enrolling in accelerated online courses.

The CTE has been instrumental in supporting the development of these courses. CTE instructional designers collaborate with faculty through personalized consultations, assisting in course design, development, and delivery to ensure high-quality online education.

Full-time faculty members are encouraged to contribute to this impactful initiative by applying for the 2025-2026 Winter Session Online Course Development Grant. This grant provides $2,500 for the full development of a new course or $1,500 for substantial revisions to an existing course. The funding supports the creation of high-quality online education.

Below, we recognize the instructors, instructional designers, and courses that passed the quality review for Winter Session 2024-2025. These courses are listed alongside the CTE instructional designer with whom each instructor collaborated. Their dedication to providing exceptional learning opportunities for our students reflects their commitment to teaching excellence.
