The CTE will host Oktoberbest 2026, an annual one-day symposium on teaching practices and innovation. The event will take place on Friday, October 23, 2026, at the University Conference Center and is open to USC educators. Registration is open.

Oktoberbest includes interactive sessions, current topics in teaching, and opportunities to connect with colleagues across disciplines. The program features a keynote address, breakout sessions, recognition of Garnet Apple Award for Teaching Innovation recipients, Oktoberbest-themed meals, and door prizes!

The CTE is inviting proposals for 30-minute sessions. Educators are encouraged to submit proposals that share practical strategies, support active learning, and provide clear takeaways.

Submissions are open through August 21, 2026. Selected presenters will work with CTE instructional designers to refine their sessions in advance of the event.

Oktoberbest continues to provide a space for sharing ideas, strengthening teaching practices, and building connections across the university.
