Faculty from the Floyd School of Medicine and College of Pharmacy recently completed the Summer 2026 Reflective Teaching Practices for Medical Educators (RTPforME) program, a six week professional development experience designed to strengthen teaching through evidence based instructional practices, reflection, and practical application.
Throughout the program, participants engaged in self-paced learning, interactive webinars, individualized coaching, and the development of a teaching project that applied new strategies to their own educational settings. As they explored evidence-based teaching practices, faculty reflected on their instructional approaches, examined strategies to support student learning, and developed practical improvements they can apply in their teaching.
The Summer 2026 RTPforME program was led by Kristin Harrell, CTE Instructional Designer, whose facilitation, individualized coaching, and ongoing support guided participants throughout the experience. Congratulations to this year's completers for their commitment to strengthening teaching and learning for future health care professionals..
