More about Stephanie:

Chef Stephanie was born and raised in Maryland and attended Florida Memorial University before joining the army as a culinary specialist. She retired with honors as Sergeant First Class, having traveled extensively and experienced diverse cuisines and cultures. As a culinary instructor, Chef Stephanie trained soldiers in combat and garrison food preparation. Prior to retirement, Stephanie led Fort Stewart's culinary team to numerous awards and accolades under the American Culinary Federation. During her service, Stephanie furthered her education, completing a dental assistant program and earning culinary certifications and a CDL. 

What advice do you have for anyone learning to cook for themselves?

It is okay to mess up when starting out, remember you can always add to dishes but can never take elements away. Have patience, cooking is like art, it does take time but the end result is beautiful. 

What is a fun fact the students should know about you?

I love to bake; my favorite baking memories are when I’m creating treats with my daughter.
