John grew up in North Carolina in the small town of Henderson. John attended East Carolina University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management. He started his career path with ARAMARK as a student manager in 2011 and fell in love with the hospitality industry. After completing the program, John was offered a location manager position right after graduating where he oversaw two major brands, Chili’s and Chick-fil-A. John has overseen multiple retail brands in 13 years with ARAMARK including Chick-fil-A, Subway, Panda, Panera, Oath Pizza and Chili’s.

John has been to many different campuses and ARAMARK locations, holding many different positions, including the Howard Hughes medical campus and Philip Morris Manufacturing Center. All that provided the skills to serve as a Food Service Director at the University of South Carolina. John joined the USC team in 2018 and has been in love with South Carolina ever since.
