EntertaiNET Expands Campus-Wide


The EntertaiNET network has expanded campus-wide. EntertaiNET is a network specifically for entertainment devices such as smart TVs, streaming devices like Apple TV and Roku, and Amazon devices such as Echo Dots. The Division of IT developed EntertaiNET to reduce traffic to the secure uscfacstaff Wi-Fi networks.

All entertainment devices on the Columbia campus must be registered to EntertaiNET. This includes entertainment devices used by departments. Before connecting to EntertaiNET, the devices must first be registered at Devices must be registered prior to connecting to EntertaiNET. Any departmental IT professional can assist with registering these devices. If your department does not have an IT professional, any person who is familiar with the device can register it. There is a limit of five devices per person.

As a reminder, faculty and staff should connect non-entertainment devices to “uscfacstaff,” which is a secure portal. EntertaiNET is for TVs, gaming systems, and streaming devices only.
