Whether learning on campus or remotely, students have access to numerous free IT resources and support options. Here are some important tips to note:
Support Through Phone
IT Service Desk:
The IT Service Desk is the single point of contact for computer, technology and IT-related
questions and support. Students can call 803-777-1800 to speak to a representative
and get assistance.
Online Support
Chat Online:
Students have the option to chat online with an IT Service Desk representative. Simply
go to sc.edu/ithelp and click on the purple chat icon. The chat feature is available M-F, 9:30 a.m. –
4:30 p.m.
Browse the Knowledge Base:
Search the online Knowledge Base for instructional articles that help you troubleshoot technology issues on your own,
at any time of day.
Blackboard Support:
Blackboard’s help website has answers to all of your questions, whether you are trying to log in for the first
time or you need to submit a final paper. The site simplifies the search process by
directing you to content that’s just for students.
On-Campus Support
Carolina Tech Zone:
Students on-campus who need hands-on technology help can visit the Carolina Tech Zone. The Carolina Tech Zone is operating on a drop-off appointment system. Students can
call 803-777-1800 to schedule their drop-off appointment. Remote students who live
in the area are welcome to take advantage of this service. Please note that masks
and social distancing are required when dropping your device off.
