Program Description:
NURS 590 offers students an immersive study abroad experience across the Bavarian region of Germany. Students will visit the cities of Nüremberg, Erlangen, Bamberg, and Munich, over one week in March 2025.
This course aims to provide students with a deeper understanding of the host country's healthcare framework, history, and cultural values.
Students will participate in a range of educational and cultural activities, including tours of historical sites and healthcare institutions, discussions with local healthcare professionals, and group reflection sessions.
Activities include visits to the Nazi Party Rally Grounds and Documentation Center, Red Cross Museum, healthcare facilities like the University Medical Hospital, and interactive sessions with local healthcare experts. Students will also have the opportunity for cultural exchanges with students and faculty from Lutheran University of Applied Sciences, and will visit a refugee center to better understand the health needs of displaced populations.
