The Gamecocks gridiron received several significant updates both above and below ground in
the summer of 2016.
Project Details
Some key field improvements were made at Williams-Brice Stadium in 2016, including
a new sand-based drainage system, new irrigation and sod. Asphalt previously installed
along the east sideline was replaced with new sod and a concrete sidewalk. The west
sideline asphalt was also replaced with concrete.
