About this Fellowship
For those planning a career in public affairs, this offers a full-time, nine month, graduate-level experiential leadership training program to prepare diverse, talented and committed individuals for effective and ethical leadership in the public affairs arena.
The Fellows Program is offered in Northern California, Southern California, New York, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis.
Coro introduces program participants to all aspects of the public affairs arena, preparing them to translate their ideals into action for improving their own communities and beyond.
Through field placements, group interviews, seminars, focus weeks, individual and group projects, fellows develop:
•hands-on project experience
•an understanding of complex public issues
•leadership skills in inquiry, problem-solving, communication, organization analysis, and consensus-building.
•political acumen to get things done
•professional growth and personal transformation.
•extensive personal and professional networks

Award Value
Tuition is fully covered and need-based stipends to support the cost of living are available, depending on need and the program location.

For recent college and graduate school alumni supports full-time, six-to-nine month Fellowships in Washington, DC. Recipients will work with nonprofit, public-interest organizations addressing peace and security issues. $3,600/month salary + travel expenses, health insurance, and $1,000 for professional development.
Emerson National Hunger Fellows
11-month fellowship program to develop leaders with an understanding of hunger and poverty who will help find innovative solutions and create the political will to end hunger. One-year fellowship of between $38,000 and $43,000 depending upon site placement, as well as training, mentoring, and leadership development, and entry into an extensive alumni network. Alumni are also eligible for tuition discounts at Carnegie Mellon and UVA when pursuing graduate degrees in public health or public policy.
FAO Schwarz Fellowship
This fellowship provides post-graduate experience for those interested in social impact through two-year placements with high-impact non-profits in NYC, Boston, or Philadelphia, along with professional development, mentoring, and networking opportunities. Awardees receive compensation of approximately $100-110,000 over the two-year fellowship period as well as health insurance coverage and transportation funds.
$30,000 salary each year, $2,000 bonus upon completion, health insurance, and transportation funding.
