About this Fellowship

Humane Studies Fellowships (HSF) are awarded to full-time graduate students embarking on liberty-advancing careers in ideas. Moreover, the fellowships support study in a variety of fields, including economics, philosophy, political science, history, and sociology. Whether you need support for completing major research projects, taking a semester sabbatical for writing, presenting work at top conferences, making journal submissions, or participating in other eligible activities, you are welcome to apply for funding.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Applicants will be notified of their award within eight weeks of submission. Refer to the program website for details.
Award Value
Awardees receive up to $15,000 per year as well as access to other IHS opportunities including mentorship, job market support, in-person and online events, and more.
