About this Fellowship

Offers internships in Washington, DC, varying in length and focused on increasing the pool of black leaders in community-based programs and public service careers.

In addition to the funding they receive during their internship, recipients are eligible for scholarships for prestigious public policy graduate programs, such as the University of California-Berkeley's Goldman School of Public Policy, UC Hastings College of the Law, and they are actively recruited by executive branch agencies such as the State Department and the Office of Management and Budget.

CBCF offers three internship programs: the Emerging Leaders Congressional Internship Program, the Communications Internship Program, and the Pathways to C-Suite Internship.

Award Value

Recipients receive housing, a stipend, office placements, and networking with professionals and legislators in all branches of government.
