About this Fellowship

This scholarship is awarded to the most outstanding student of lodging management and to two runners-up through an annual competition among Foundation-affiliated four-year programs.

Deadline is typically in mid-March, but be sure to check the competition website for the current cycle’s deadline.

Applicants must be a hospitality management major. The Packard Scholarship requires department nomination--see website for specific nominator contact information.

The American Hotel and Lodging (AHLA) Foundation also offers several self-nominated awards. Applicants are encouraged to apply for these awards in addition to the Packard Scholarship as relevant.


Award Value

First, second, and third-place are awarded $5,000, $3,000, and $2,000, respectively.
