About this Fellowship
10-week and semester-long research internships at 1 of 17 participating Department of Energy (DOE) laboratories.
SULI is a paid internship opportunity sponsored and managed by the DOE Office of Science’s Office of Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientists (WDTS) in collaboration with DOE laboratories/facilities. Students can participate in SULI either in a 10-week summer internship (May–August) or in a semester-long experience (August–December or January–May).
Participants will be mentored by a leading science expert who will guide them in a specific research area to gain maximum exposure to one of the many science and technology areas that underpin the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) missions.
Currently enrolled full-time undergraduates and recent graduates (within 2 years of graduation) with a 3.0 GPA or above are eligible to apply.
