About this Fellowship
Awarded for at least six months of study in France. Meant to help educators and researchers improve education in standard French language, literature and culture and in the study of standard French in the United States.
Applicants must demonstrate superior competence in French, and demonstrate how their career will or does involve active use of the French language.
Phi Beta Kappa membership is not required. Preference may be given to members of Phi Beta Kappa and educators at the secondary school level or above.
Please note: Current graduate students applying for the Jensen Fellowship must also submit information to the Education Abroad Office at least 30 days prior to departure. See their website for more information.
Deadlines are typically in January, but be sure to check the competition website for the current cycle’s deadline.
Award Value
Stipend of $16,900 (adjusted annually for inflation) and a round trip ticket to France.
