Financial Aid and Scholarships

National Student Exchange

The National Student Exchange program affords students the opportunity to learn and explore at the same time, while earning college credit.

The National Student Exchange program is a coalition of colleges and universities in the United States, the U.S. territories and Canada that provides opportunities for undergraduate students to study for up to one year at another NSE member college or university. National Student Exchange programs are typically not offered during the summer sessions. Participation in this program is coordinated through the National Student Exchange Office.

The University of South Carolina is a Plan B only school. This means that an outgoing UofSC student will pay tuition and fees to UofSC, but pay room, meals and other applicable fees at their host school not covered under the host school tuition and fees. For financial aid purposes, students in this program are treated as if they are enrolled at UofSC. Enrolling in the NSE Program Plan B allows you to use all of your aid awarded at UofSC except Federal Work-Study just like if you were enrolled at UofSC.
