University of South Carolina leadership has remained in contact with local public health and infectious disease experts to prepare for the possibility of Monkeypox cases on campus. Steps to prepare include reviewing updates from South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SC DHEC) representatives, educating of medical providers, creating protocols for testing if needed, disseminating campus messaging, preping campus partners and affirming appropiate cleaning and sanitization continue.
