As a Community Assistant in University Housing, you’ll have the opportunity to build community and deliver the highest quality customer service. You will serve at one of 16 Service Desks located in our residence halls. As the first point of contact for residents, staff, & guests, you will greet all those who come through the doors. We’re looking for positive, engaged, and service oriented leaders to serve as Community Assistants. We’re eager to have you join our team. The FIXX Call Center is looking for students to provide excellent customer services while assisting other students with problems and repairs that take place throughout the school year. Student employees will be answering phones and entering work orders into the University Housing Maintenance and Custodial work control system.
Construction and Renovations is looking for a Design Assistant/Drafter, that is detail oriented and motivated to offer Auto CAD assistance with our existing building projects. Overall, our department wants someone that has a clear understanding on how to use the Auto CAD design tool, to create and complete various building plans, as it will be their primary responsibility to provide proficient Auto CAD support. The Interior Design Intern is considered to be a very important member of the Construction and Renovations department. It will be their responsibility to work with the Interior Designers and the Design Assistant/Drafter, to provide support for our projects. During the internship experience, the intern will also gain practical professional experience with a NCIDQ certified Interior Designer, to include: Auto CAD, finish selections, project coordination and documentation, site visits, inventory and field verifications and library upkeep.
