Cliff Apartments will be closing in January 2020 to make way for construction of stage one of the Campus Village project.
You don't have to move prior to Winter Break, however residents should be prepared before leaving by having all of their belongings packed.
Housing will provide boxes, tape, labels as well as other supplies to assist in ensuring a seamless move to a new location on campus. If you are in need of supplies earlier than December 1, please let your Assignment Coordinator know when you meet with them.
Planning for the Campus Village project has been many years in the making and had included many revised timelines. Until recently, University officials were not able to pinpoint a timeline for the start of this exciting project.
Many factors are taken into consideration when planning for a project as complicated and complex as the campus village. As planning has quickly progressed, it became exceedingly clear that a January timeframe for the start for the project was necessary in order to ensure a stage one completion date of Fall 2022.
While Cliff Apartments will be closing and the building razed, residents are encouraged not to damage or destroy any part of the building in the process. Organized activities to celebrate Cliff Apartments will be announced in the coming days and weeks.
