Ashlan provides support and advising for exchange students at UofSC, by assisting in their enrollment process with the university, and communicating before, during, and after their experience on campus. She also represents Global Carolina to exchange partner universities to ensure clear and thorough communication between our office and theirs.

Ashlan has taught English overseas in Thailand and South Korea, which gave her a broadened understanding of different cultures and an appreciation for working with international students. While living overseas she was able to travel to Vietnam, Bali, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Australia, Spain, the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, and Portugal. She interned at Presbyterian College’s Office of International Programs her senior year of college, which helped her to realize she wanted to work in the International Student Services office at UofSC. Besides traveling, Ashlan loves reading, anything that involves being outside, and finding fun new restaurants to eat at in Columbia.
