Student Organization Funding Assistance Board (SOFAB)
New funding opportunities are now available through the Student Organization Funding Assistance Board (SOFAB). Funding should be submitted at least 15 business days prior to the event or conference. Request can be made at any point, and organizations can also request funding from other sources (listed below) at the same time. To request funding, visit your organizations Garnet Gate page. Click Manage Organization → under Organization Toolbox click Finance → on the top right, click the blue button "Create Request" and choose Create Budget Request.
To request funding from SOFAB, a member of the organization (usually Treasurer) must first attend training. Trainings are available virtually during the summer, starting in July.
Applications for funding from SOFAB open each July and may be found through the organizations Garnet Gate page (instructions above).
SOFAB funding caps:
- For events, activities, and programs: $7,500 per year, per organization.
- For tournaments and conference travel: $600 per person, up to $3000 per year, per organization.
