I love being able to serve as a role model/mentor as well as an advocate for underrepresented students. I am most excited about attending our student events and seeing them bring great ideas to life.
Multicultural Assistance Peer Program (MAPP), Black Male Initiative Program (Brother 2 Brother), Association of African American Students (advisor), SAVVY (advisor).
In her previous role at Presbyterian College, Lashawna served as a campus resource related to multiculturalism, racial/ethnic/gender identity formation, diversity and inclusion, intercultural education and bias reporting response. She also cultivated opportunities for student identity development through training, advocacy and conversation relating to understanding, appreciation and tolerance as an essential component for student growth and success.
