Michael Hood is the Program Coordinator for Conferences and Continuing Education at the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition.

Michael supports the National Resource Center’s Conferences and Continuing Education initiatives to offer high-quality national conferences, institutes, online courses, and other educational opportunities to provide academic and professional training and development for faculty and staff across the world related to the first-year experience and students in transition.

Prior to coming to the University of South Carolina, Michael worked in higher education at Kennesaw State University, Arizona State University, and the University of Montana in Fraternity & Sorority Life, Residence Life, and Student Engagement. Additionally, he worked for the National Association for Campus Activities in a membership and conference support role.
