All rules and regulations are subject to enforcement 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including break periods and holidays.
In order to park in authorized ADA accessible parking spaces on campus, students and employees with state-issued ADA placards/hangtags or license plates are required to register with USC Parking & Transportation Services (PTS).
Individuals must complete the form below and attach the required documentation or bring the required documentation into our office for verification. Go to the form.
Required documentation (scanned copies are acceptable):
- State-issued ADA placard/hangtag or license plate
- State-issued photo ID
- State-issued documentation received with your placard/hangtag or license plate
Once a state-issued ADA placard/hangtag or license plate is registered to an individual's parking account, then PTS shall provide a sticker which should be immediately placed on the individual's USC parking permit. The sticker is intended to notify PTS personnel in the field that the vehicle has registered the state-issued ADA placard/hangtag or license plate with the department. The sticker alone does not grant the vehicle the ability to park in accessible parking spaces. Both the state-issued ADA placard/hangtag or license plate and USC parking permit with ADA sticker must be displayed in the vehicle.
Once your state issued documentation has been registered and approved by PTS, parking access is as follows:
Garage Parking Permit:
Access to ADA parking spaces within that permitted garage, plus access to any ADA
parking spaces in any surface lot. Parking permit and registered ADA placard or license
plate must be displayed.
Any Surface Lot Parking Permit:
Access to any ADA parking spaces in any surface lot or visitor area that is not restricted
by gate access.
Un-restricted visitor areas are:
- Pendleton Street Garage (levels 1a, 1b, 2a - enter from Pickens St.)
- Close-Hipp Lot (top level)
- College Street (1700 block)
- Capstone and Columbia Hall (on Barnwell St.)
- Sumter Street Garage (top level)
- Campus Village Garage (top level)
Gated areas (Bull, Horizon, Discovery garages) require a permit for that garage.
Parking permit and registered ADA placard or license plate must be displayed.
