Consult your parking account for permits and payment methods available to you, including payroll deductions. For garage and reserved surface lot permits, visit us in the Parking Services Office at the Pendleton Street Garage.
Where can I park?
The length of time you've been working at the university is used to determine permit eligibility.
All faculty and staff members may buy a Z permit. It will allow you to park in any FS or AD lot, and any seniority faculty/staff surface lot between 3 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.
If you were hired before 2012, you may be eligible to park in additional lots other than FS and AD lots. Availability is limited. You can use your parking account to find out which permits you qualify for.
University faculty and staff members can buy a garage permit for any campus garage.
The following are considered reserved surface lots:
- Marion St. (MS)
- Sumter St. (SU)
- Burger King Lot (BK)
- Tennis Court Lot (TC)
Due to limited availability, you will need to contact parking services for more information.
A statement from your medical doctor or the student health center is required describing your diagnosis and the amount of time you'll need the permit. If a doctor's statement is not immediately available, we can issue temporary permits for five school days.
Permits are issued for as long as your doctor's statement describes.
Park anytime in surface lot disability spaces on campus. Parking in handicap accessible spacing on city streets requires a permit or license tag from a state department of motor vehicles.
Parking in a garage disability space requires a permit for that specific garage along with your disability permit.
Paid hourly disability parking is available in the Bull Street, Horizon and Discovery garages. A state-issued placard/license tag or UofSC disability permit is required.
There is no additional charge if you already have a regular permit for a garage or lot.
Park anytime in designated MC areas.
Motorcycles, mopeds and scooters may not park in automobile spaces, at meters or at bicycle racks.
Please do not store your motorcycle or motor scooter inside of a building on campus, or it will be impounded.
