The university makes commencement widely accessible for those with disabilities. Make plans to arrive early for accessible parking and seating, as they are limited.

Accessible seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance planning is strongly encouraged to make your graduation experience more enjoyable for all of your guests.

First Aid, Communications and Restrooms

First aid services, restrooms, and public telephones are available on the concourse. Should you need assistance, ushers will be available to assist you.

Candidates with Mobility Impairments

Degree candidates who have mobility impairments or an inability to walk moderate distances should contact us as soon as possible before the event to plan ahead for seating.

Drop-off and Parking

Family members or guests with mobility impairments or an inability to walk moderate distances may be dropped off at the Colonial Life Arena entrance located near the corner of College and Lincoln Streets. The driver of the vehicle will be directed to the adjacent parking lots.

Seating for family members and guests with accessibility needs will be available. No prior arrangements need to be made to secure seating in this area. One companion may accompany each guest sitting in the accessible seating area. Ushers will direct guests to the nearest accessible seating area.
