Common holds that prevent registration include outstanding financial obligations owed to the University, citizenship, immunizations, and advising. To determine if you have a hold on your account, view your Student Profile in my.sc.edu and review your Registration Notices.

When viewing a list of classes using the Browse for Classes or Register for Classes options in the Registration section of my.sc.edu, a full section is indicated in the Seat Availability column. Here you will see how many seats remain for a particular section.

Are you attempting to register for a class that is scheduled at the same time as a class you've already registered for? If you receive a time conflict error, review the meeting times for the classes that you've already enrolled in to determine if it overlaps with the class you're attempting to add.

Are you attempting to register for two courses with the same course subject and number? Some courses only allow you to take a course once. Contact the academic department if you receive a duplicate course error.
