Emily Devereux is the executive director of research development in the Office of the Vice President for Research. In this role, she oversees research development initiatives for USC, including the Carolina Grants and Innovation Hub. 

Dr. Devereux has over twenty years of experience in research development and higher education leadership and has authored numerous research journal articles in both public administration and research development. She is a Certified Research Administrator through the Research Administration Certification Council, holds a master’s degree in public administration from Arkansas State University, and she received her doctorate in public administration from West Chester University in Pennsylvania.
