Proposal Submissions with Core Participation
When submitting a grant proposal that will involve participation from a centralized research core or core director, please make sure to check the appropriate box in the USCeRA Proposal/Award Processing Form (PAP).
Boilerplate information for each of the centralized research cores can be found in the CGI Hub's Research Toolbox. This information can be used to help complete Facilities, Equipment, Other Resources documents and other documents necessary to your grant proposal.
iLab Scheduling and Ordering System
The iLab system is a web-based software tool to manage core facilities and shared resources, including equipment reservations, service requests, billing, and reporting. iLab is integrated with USC's finance system and can be accessed by internal users with your regular USC User ID and password. External (non-USC) users can login with their institution's credentials (when applicable) or by setting up an iLab account. Please use iLab for all requests and scheduling for these cores.

USC Core Research Resource Identifiers (RRIDs)
An RRID is a unique identifier assigned to key research resources and is used to label and track these resources in research papers, making it easier to find, report, and verify the specific tools used in a study. When a USC research core has been used to collect data for a publication, it must be acknowledged by including the RRID in the acknowledgement section of the paper.
