Research Core Fair

This annual showcase of USC's Research Cores offers an insider view of the resources and expertise available through our core facilities.

Join us for the 2026 Research Core Fair

USC Research Cores and the Office of the Vice President for Research are excited to host the 2026 USC Research Core Fair on Friday, September 18 at the Pastides Alumni Center. 

Join us for:

  • Lightning core introductions
  • Sessions introducing new equipment and core facilities
  • Student and postdoc posters and talks, with prizes
  • Breakfast and lunch provided

 

Get Involved: Registration and presentation opportunities

The Research Core Fair is open to all USC students, faculty and staff, as well as researchers from outside USC. Register by Friday, September 4, 2026, to secure your spot.

 

Students and Postdocs: Submit an Abstract

Undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral scholars are invited to submit a scholarly presentation abstract when they register for the conference.

  • Presentation Options: Poster presentation or lightning talk
  • Submission Details: Presenters should be ready to enter the following details when they register for the conference. (Abstracts are accepted through the registration form above.)
    • Abstract title and full abstract with background, hypothesis, methods, results, conclusion and significance (abstracts are limited to 4,000 characters)
    • Name of your laboratory director or prinicpal investigator
    • The name of the research core facility you engaged with for your research project (if applicable; this is not required)
  • Submission Deadline: Submit your abstract by Friday, September 4, 2026.
  • Submission Link: Submit your abstract using the registration button below. The responsive registration form will display abstract submission fields when you select your primary role as an undergraduate student, graduate student or postdoctoral fellow. 

 

Faculty and Staff: Serve as a poster reviewer

USC faculty and staff members are encouraged to sign up to serve as a reviewer for the student and postdoc poster session at the 2026 Research Core Fair. Submit your reviewer sign up through the registration button below by Friday, September 4, 2026.
