Shonta Sellers appointed executive director of communications and marketing

Shonta Sellers has been named the executive director of communications marketing for the Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support. In this pivotal role, she will lead the communications and marketing team, driving the strategic vision for the division.

With over 25 years of experience in communications and marketing, Sellers is dedicated to stepping outside her comfort zone to implement creative solutions that yield results. Most recently, she served as the executive director of institutional marketing at Indiana State University. Before that, she was the director of diversity initiatives for the School of Professional and Continuing Education at James Madison University.

A native of Winston-Salem, NC, Sellers is not only a dedicated professional but also an active community member and a proud member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She holds an MBA in marketing from Capella University and a bachelor’s degree in business management from North Carolina A&T State University.
