Mutual Expectations is a welcoming space where students, faculty, and staff have the opportunity to voice needs, desires, and expectations in open dialogue. Come be a part of the conversation! 

Mutual Expectations Workshops

Mutual Expectations is a program designed to help students and university faculty members gain a deeper understanding of one another. By opening the lines of communication, students and faculty are better equipped to develop a more collaborative learning environment. 

In this workshop, students, faculty, and staff will explore common expectations surrounding the writing process and what makes a strong college-level essay. Lunch will be provided and there will be a raffle for pries at the end of the workshop. 

Location: Russell House University Union, Ballroom

Co-Hosted by: The Student Success Center, Center for Teaching Excellence, First-Year English Program, and University Writing Center. 

We invite students, faculty, and staff to join us for an informative discussion over lunch about resiliency and how to persist through academic challenges in a university setting. Attendees will talk about challenges they have experience or witnessed when it comes to the academic experience on campus and discuss positive ways to find solutions to those challenges. Lunch will be provided and there will be a raffle for prizes at the end of the workshop.
