The Student Success Center offers a wide variety of academic, money management, and
skill development workshops. Enhance your academic experience by attending or requesting
a workshop. You'll gain a fresh perspective from exploring and discussing concepts
with your fellow peers, and you'll leave with new tools to apply to your academics
and money management.
Workshops for Campus Departments & Organizations
Workshops are provided for campus departments and student organizations on campus.
Submit a workshop request form to have the Student Success Center facilitate a workshop for your organization or residence
hall. A staff member will follow-up with you within two to three business days.

Workshops are approximately 1 hour long, unless otherwise noted
Workshops may occur face-to-face or virtually and is at the discretion of the Student
Success Center
Workshop requests need to be submitted at least two weeks in advance

practices into your daily life.
Students will build a practical study plan for their final exams by exploring personal
study strategies and practicing how to break exam materials down into smaller study
units.
This workshop presents beneficial academic and financial-based mobile applications
for students to use in their everyday lives. The apps focus on studying effectively,
managing time, staying on task, as well as maintaining a budget or savings plan, learning
about credit, minimizing frivolous spending, and investing.
Money Management Workshops
Fortify your knowledge of personal financial concepts and find tools to incorporate
good financial practices into your daily life.
We know that managing your finances can be stressful and challenging, and we are here
to help! This workshop will give you an introduction into managing your personal finances
by showing you how to create a plan for your money. From budgeting, to introducing
some helpful financial apps, this workshop will help to provide you with the building
blocks to help you be successful with your finances.
Combat the gender wage gap by approaching the job market armed with the knowledge
and skills to negotiate salaries and benefits and receive fair and realistic compensation. This
two-hour workshop is specifically designed to teach you how to negotiate salaries for a new job and
increase your confidence in your negotiation style through facilitated discussion
and role-play.

Writing Workshops
Enhance your academic decision making and find tools to incorporate good writing practices
into your daily life.
Learn how to address the unique challenges presented by large writing projects including
how to create a writing routine, how to use goal-setting techniques to structure your
writing process, and how to organize and manage large amounts of information.
National Student Exchange Workshops
This workshop gives an overview of the National Student Exchange program and how it
operates. A full one-hour session can be done or a shorter 15-minute presentation.
Please note which type of session you would like when you complete the form. The 15-minute
session is a brief overview of the program and how it operates. The hour long session
will include all the information in the 15-minute session, plus discussion about different
cultures and traditions across North America, trivia, and more. When available past
student participants will join the session for discussion on their experiences.
