Workshops for Campus Departments & Organizations
Workshops are provided for campus departments and undergraduate student organizations on campus. Submit a workshop request form to have the Student Success Center facilitate a workshop for your organization or residence hall. A staff member will follow-up with you within two to three business days.
Please keep in mind the following:
- Workshops are approximately 1 hour long, unless otherwise noted
- Workshops may occur face-to-face or virtually and is at the discretion of the Student Success Center
- Workshop requests need to be submitted at least two weeks in advance
- UNIV101 courses should go through the official University 101 Campus Partner Presentation process

Ever get stuck staring at a prompt not knowing where or how to begin? This workshop will show you concrete exercises to help you break out of writer's block and begin generating ideas into language. Learn how to analyze your writing task and use goal-oriented prewriting techniques to develop a clear and focused direction for your writing project.
Learn to create drafts that feel cohesive, organized, and well-structured through techniques such as effective transitions, sign-posting, and reverse-outlining. This workshop will show you how to evaluate and transform your writing's organization through thoughtful consideration of your reader and your purpose for writing.
So, you've finished a draft. Now what? This workshop will walk you through a step-by-step process for transforming your drafts--from the big changes to the small ones. Learn how to move beyond just fixing grammar and punctuation to create final products that meet and exceed the expectations of the assignment.

National Student Exchange Workshops
This workshop gives an overview of the National Student Exchange program and how it operates. A full one-hour session can be done or a shorter 15-minute presentation. Please note which type of session you would like when you complete the form. The 15-minute session is a brief overview of the program and how it operates. The hour long session will include all the information in the 15-minute session, plus discussion about different cultures and traditions across North America, trivia, and more. When available past student participants will join the session for discussion on their experiences.
