EligibilityThe Addison Family Study Abroad Fund is an award of up to $5,000 provided to support study abroad experiences for Moore School students participating in a Global Classroom. Preference will be given to South Carolina residents.

In order to be considered for the Addison Family Study Abroad Fund, an applicant must:
·         Be a full-time, undergraduate student in the Darla Moore School of Business
·         Be in the process of applying or have already applied to a Maymester Global Classroom Program with the business school
·         Be in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA and at least 30 credit hours

Eligibility: The Walker Institute awards exceptionally well qualified undergraduate students with well formed programs for overseas study and research

Eligibility: The Dobson Volunteer Service Program at the University of South Carolina provides funding support for students, faculty and staff members to engage in direct service activities, both locally and abroad. Emphasis is placed on depth of service commitment, and the impact it might have on individual spiritual development through the service experience.
Field of Study: All majors are welcome to apply.

Awards: The program underwrites up to 50 percent of approved expenses for individuals and groups. Applicants must agree to provide on their return a personal reflection document and ten presentations sharing information about their experiences as a Dobson participant.

Eligibility: The Freeman Scholars Award is an award of up to $5,000 provided to support study abroad experiences in Asia for Moore School students participating in a Global Classroom.

In order to be considered for a Freeman Scholars Award, an applicant must:
·         Be a full-time, undergraduate student in the Darla Moore School of Business
·         Be in the process of applying or have already applied to a Maymester in Asia Global Classroom Program with the business school
·         Be in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA and at least 30 credit hours

What the grant is for: The Maxcy Travel Grant is a competitive financial award to be used to help fund a study abroad experience for undergraduate students who are current or past residents of the International House at Maxcy College. Award amounts range from $500-$1000.

 

Deadline:

· October 15th for Winter Break, Fall Break, or Spring programs.

· April 1st for Maymester, Summer, Fall or Academic Year programs.

 

You can apply for the award multiple terms; however, you can only receive the award once. You cannot defer the award; it must be used for the term listed on your application.

 

Student eligibility requirements: In order to be considered for a Maxcy Travel Grant, an applicant must:

· Be a full time, undergraduate USC student

· Be a current or past resident of the International House at Maxcy College

· Be in the process of applying, or have already applied to, an approved USC study abroad program

· Be earning at least twelve credits (during the semester) or three credits (in summer) for his/her study abroad experience

 

Grant disbursement: This is a competitive grant, and you will receive notification of your award within a few weeks of the application deadline.

The Moore School Global Classroom Scholarship is an award of varying amounts provided to support Spring Term- Break and Maymester study abroad experiences for Moore School students participating in a Global Classroom. Students will be selected based on demonstrated merit in the classroom, financial need and compelling essays.

 

In order to be considered for a Moore School Global Classroom Scholarship, an applicant must:

  • Be a full-time, undergraduate student in the Darla Moore School of Business
  • Be in the process of applying or have already applied to a Spring Term- Break or Maymester Global Classroom with the business school
  • Be in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA and at least 30 credit hours

Eligibility: The Morrisette Family Endowment is an award of up to $2,500 provided to support study abroad experiences for Moore School students participating in a Global Classroom. First preference will be given to students from the Triad area of North Carolina.

In order to be considered for the Morrisette Family Endowment, an applicant must:
·         Be a full-time, undergraduate student in the Darla Moore School of Business
·         Be in the process of applying or have already applied to a Maymester Global Classroom Program with the business school
·         Be in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA and at least 30 credit hours
