Study Abroad 101. A comprehensive overview of the study abroad process. Topics include an overview of study abroad program options, locations, how scholarships and financial aid work with study abroad, how to work with your academic advisor, deadlines, and next steps.
Money Matters. An in-depth look at financial considerations for study abroad. We will cover how to calculate costs when considering a program, comparing USC and study abroad program costs, what is covered in a study abroad program fee and what is not, and how to budget for your time abroad. We will also discuss how scholarships and financial aid work with study abroad and for what study abroad scholarships you may be eligible.
Program Selection & Application Process. Between Global Partner, Global Exchange, Global Direct, Global Classroom, and Global USC, there are a lot of programs to choose between! This workshop will cover the basics of each program type and equip you with the means to determine which program is a best fit for you. It will also provide students with a step-by-step process for applying to study abroad. This includes navigating the online application, working with your academic advisor, and timelines.
Top Destination (Spain). Spain is consistently in our top 3 study abroad locations. Our top destination workshop series is designed to provide students with an overview of Spain programs. This includes how to determine a best program fit, programs based on academic discipline, costs, and how to apply.
Top Destination (Italy). Italy is consistently in our top 3 study abroad locations. Our top destination workshop series is designed to provide students with an overview of Italy programs. This includes how to determine a best program fit, programs based on academic discipline, costs, and how to apply.
Peace Corps Prep Program. The Peace Corps Prep Program is designed for students interested in pursuing the Peace Corps after graduation. This certificate program gives Peace Corps applicants a competitive advantage when applying to the Peace Corps. This workshop will give participants an overview of the program, program requirements, and application steps.
