UofSC's exchange program in Greece is meant to introduce students to Greek culture and society. Students will study and learn the ways of life and culture of the Greek people and be provided with opportunities to take courses across many fields. This program is located in Athens, Greece's capital city. While the city is large, students will study with the other 2,500 students that attend ACG. Located on a breathtaking hillside at the edge of Athens, an American-style, 64-acre campus offers an ideal setting to study in Greece: modern classrooms, the ACG Library, with extensive print, online and audio-visual resources, and the College's athletic facilities, including the FIFA designed soccer field, the Olympic-sized swimming pool, indoor and outdoor courts and fitness and exercise studios.

Visits to historical and cultural sites and excursions to Greek islands are scheduled throughout the academic year by the Office of Residential and International Student Services and the Outdoor Recreation Office. ACG Residence Life activities and events present opportunities to mingle with local students and immerse oneself in Greek and ACG culture. The Neighborhood Tour, walking tours to downtown Athens, garden movie nights and Greek cooking and Greek dancing workshops are only some of the highlights of the ACG Residence Life Program..

Per university policy, all UofSC students will be charged emergency medical, evacuation and repatriation insurance for their time abroad. Contact the Study Abroad Office for more details.

Study abroad students live in ACG's spacious residence complex a short 5-10 minute walk from campus. Standard accommodations are based on two students sharing a bedroom in a furnished apartment. Meals are self-catered. A grocery store is conveniently located just down the block. Students can choose upgrades such as a single bedroom or a superior single bedroom 

The academic year starts in early September and ends in early May, much like UofSC. 

Orientation includes an introduction to student life and academics at ACG. They cover areas of interest to international students to secure a smooth transition in your new academic home. You’ll also have the opportunity to tour campus and meet other international and Greek students.

The Study Abroad Office at ACG guides students through the visa application process. Once a student has been accepted, they must submit to us the documents listed in the detailed Student Visa Application Instructions. When all documents have been received, ACG will obtain approval for a visa on student's behalf. Once approved, ACG will send the student the paperwork they will need to submit to a local Greek Consulate.
