UofSC's exchange program at Kedge Business School in Marseilles, France is designed to expose American students to French life and culture as well as international business practices. 

On one side of the Marseille, the Old Port anchors the masts of many boats and offers an open-air fish market with cafes on the surrounding terraces. At the Southern end of Marseilles, the village of Les Goudes is the gateway to the Calanques where the rocky slopes of the hills come close to the edge of the sea.

Students typically take 30 ECTS per semester, which corresponds to 15 UofSC credit hours. The program at Kedge offers a diverse array of courses, many classes are taught in English and students also have the option of taking Business courses in French. Students also have the opportunity to take French as a Foreign Language at various levels for French language credit.

The program does not offer organized excursions, but students do have the opportunity for individual travel. Kedge's InterAct Association organizes social and cultural activities to give exchange students more opportunities to explore Marseille and and interact with other French and International students.

Per university policy, all UofSC students will be charged emergency medical, evacuation and repatriation insurance for their time abroad. Contact the Study Abroad Office for more details.

Students are eligible to apply for on-campus housing, however it is not guaranteed. Students who live on-campus are housed in two main residences - Alotra and Estudines. Alotra houses mainly international students and is just a 5 minute bus ride from campus. Estudines is located in the heart of campus just outside of the school premises. It provides more of a French-speaking environment and the price depends on the type of room.

In the spring, classes begin in January and end in May.

Kedge provides an orientation to welcome all international students and provide them with general and academic information, assist them with processing their different administrative formalities, as well as organizing cultural events.

Students who attend Kedge for a semester are required to register with Campus France and must apply in person at a VFS global office for a visa.
