The UofSC exchange program at National Sun Yat-sen (NSYSU) is designed to introduce UofSC students to life and business in Taiwan.  The NSYSU campus uniquely situates at the crossing of hills and sea, adjacent to the Kaohsiung Harbor. It is located in the scenic Sizih Bay and surrounded by the Longevity Mountain and the Taiwan Strait. The spectacular beach offers a natural venue for recreation and water sports, and the sunset is the most splendid scenery sought by many from all over the world.

The Office of International Affairs organizes several events and excursions throughout the semester. Examples include cooking classes, monkey tours, and language tables. 

Per university policy, all UofSC students will be charged emergency medical, evacuation and repatriation insurance for their time abroad. Contact the Study Abroad Office for more details.

NSYSU offers two types of housing options on-campus for students, a local or international dorm. 

The academic calendar for the spring semester runs from Mid-February to June. 

The international student orientation and welcome activities will be held before school starts in mid-February. Topics will include visa, cultural adjustment, course selection and important regulations. During orientation you will have the opportunity to get to know other incoming students, some current NSYSU students, and explore NSYSU comprehensive resources

Students studying more than 180 days in Taiwan are required to obtain a Resident visa
