UofSC's exchange program in Taiwan is designed to expose students to the life and culture of the Taiwanese people. Taipei is the commercial, governmental, and cultural center of Taiwan. Characterized by its friendly people, Taipei is a modern, high-tech city with a bustling nightlife, museums, ancient temples, and exquisite cuisine. With a total population of six million people, greater Taipei will offer students a unique experience while allowing easy access to other parts of Asia. 

Cost: UofSC resident tuition rates + in-country costs

This program does not offer organized excursions. Students do have the opportunity for individual travel. There are over 150 student run clubs for students to get involved in at National Taiwan Normal University. 

Per university policy, all UofSC students will be charged emergency medical, evacuation and repatriation insurance for their time abroad. Contact the Study Abroad Office for more details.

 NTNU currently has twelve student on-campus dormitories. Housing is guaranteed for students on exchange. 

The Fall semester begins in mid-September and runs through mid-January. There is a five-week break before the Spring semester begins mid-February and runs through the end of June.

There will be an orientation for all exchange students prior to the start of classes. During orientation, students will be given a brief introduction to student life at National Taiwan Normal University as well as register for their pre-approved courses.

All students must have a valid entry visa in order to study in Taiwan.
