While the cost of living in Argentina is typically lower than in the US, Buenos Aires is a large, cosmopolitan city, so students need to plan accordingly. Most credit cards are widely accepted in Argentina, but small peso bills are commonly used. Students will use the Argentine peso. Average costs for transportation, food, and entertainment are found in the UTDT Student Handbook.
Students typically earn 12-15 credit hours per semester. Listed below are a few examples of subjects offered. UTDT offers an optional 3-week, 4-credit hour intensive Argentine language and culture course prior to the start of the semester for an additional cost.

Per university policy, all UofSC students will be charged emergency medical, evacuation and repatriation insurance for their time abroad. Contact the Study Abroad Office for more details.
As is the norm for many South American universities, the Universidad Torcuato di Tella does not have any on-campus housing. The UTDT Exchange Office and Department of Student Services are able to provide students with a suggested list of options including homestays, student residences, or shared furnished apartments. UTDT estimates that average monthly rent for a furnished apartment is $1500-$2000 Argentine pesos, or $1000/month to rent a room with a host family.
The Universidad Torcuato di Tella operates on the standard Argentine academic calendar. Classes begin in August and end in late December for the fall semester. In the spring, classes begin in March and end in early July. International Business students attend UTDT for the spring term.
