Gamecock Essentials: 4 Tips to Maximize Your Gameday Experience

There's nothing quite like a Saturday in Williams-Brice Stadium! Check out these four tips to help you prepare for your Gamecock football experience!

Planning to attend a USC football game this season? It’s only appropriate that we help you prepare for Saturdays in Williams-Brice Stadium. Attending a home football game is one of the most exciting activities of the year for any Gamecock. Here are a few tips to ensure you have the best time in Willy-B!

1. Dress Comfortably

Wearing a trendy outfit seems like a good idea and trust me, we all want to look cute in the stands. The most important thing is that you dress in something that makes you feel confident! But I have to warn you that South Carolina can get hot, especially under the Saturday sun. When you’re cheering on the Gamecocks, you may want to wear something comfortable and lightweight.

2. Use A Clear Bag

If you plan on bringing anything into the stadium, pack it in a clear bag! Safety is important and security needs to see what’s being taken into the stadium. A clear bag is an easy way to help keep the community safe. If you don’t currently own one, check out the USC Bookstore!

3. Behave Responsibly

I know we don’t always like the calls made on the field, but that’s no reason to stop having fun! Nobody wants to get thrown out of the game for something as silly as a rally towel ending up on the football field. Plus, you’ll want to keep that rally towel for Sandstorm!

4. Stay Hydrated

Spending the day in the hot sun can be draining, so be sure to drink lots of water! Consider keeping a water bottle with you while in the stands. It’s an easy way to remember to drink plenty of fluids while cheering on the Gamecocks!

Gameday in Willy-B should be nothing but fun! Remember, a prepared Gamecock is a happy Gamecock. See you in the stands!

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
